E-commerce Email Campaign

  • This e-commerce email’s strategy was to promote a new sale and encourage customers to purchase. The email needed to be visually appealing, showcase key products and drive traffic to the online store.

  • I was responsible for designing the layout, selecting product imagery, and creating call-to-action buttons that would lead customers to specific product pages. I worked closely with the marketing team to ensure the design aligned with the brand’s visual identity, messaging, and client requests.

    • Research: I reviewed the brand’s previous email campaigns to understand what worked well and identified opportunities for improvement. I also researched current trends and practices for e-commerce emails, focusing on visual hierarchy and product presentation.

    • Concept Development: I developed a product-focused design that prominently featured the key products. I incorporated the product graphics colors and typography to separate the products from others previously available. I made the layout responsive to ensure a seamless experience on both desktop and mobile devices.

    • Challenges: One challenge was not readily having images for the products since they were still being produced. I solved this by using my skills in Adobe Photoshop to create realistic mockups. Clickable/coded call-to-action buttons for each product were included, leading directly to the product pages.

  • The final email design featured a clean, minimalistic layout with large product images, concise product descriptions, and “Shop Now” buttons that stood out. Each section was easy to navigate, and the email was optimized for mobile viewing. The sale event saw a significant increase in website traffic and product sales following the email campaign.

  • This project has enabled me to improve my approach to e-commerce email design, especially in designing product images that are more unique than the typical box images. I focused on creating a visual hierarchy to highlight key products and to provide an intuitive shopping experience that

Donor Development Email Campaigns

  • The goal of this email campaign was to increase donor engagement and encourage contributions to the organization’s fundraising initiatives. The email needed to be visually compelling while providing a clear and persuasive call to action.

  • I was responsible for the full email design, including layout, typography, and selecting the appropriate visual elements to align with the organization's branding. I used Adobe Photoshop and XD to design the email, ensuring that it was responsive and user-friendly.

    • Research: I reviewed previous email campaigns and analyzed their deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.

    • Concept Development: I focused on creating a simple, visually appealing design. The headline was bold and designed to grab attention, while the body copy was kept concise and readable. The call-to-action button stood out in a contrasting color to encourage clicks.

    • Challenges: A key challenge was ensuring the email looked great on both desktop and mobile. I used responsive design techniques to ensure the layout was adjusted smoothly on different screen sizes.

  • The final email design included a visually impactful header image, clean typography, and a prominent call-to-action button that led recipients to the donation page. The email was well-received by the client and resulted in increased donor engagement.

  • This project underscored the critical nature of clarity and simplicity in email design. I gained valuable insights into structuring content to direct the reader's attention towards key elements, such as the call-to-action button. Additionally, I honed the ability to craft designs that are not only functional but also align with the client's established style guide.
